Economics is concerned with the study of productive resources – their
organization. Utilization, and distribution – both nationally and
internationally. It includes the study of political, industrial and social
relationships and of economic theories, processes and institutions. An
economics graduate degree enables individuals to join the Central Government
or state civil/ administrative services where they function in a general
administrative capacity.
Courses :
Economics is taught as a part of bachelor’s degree programmes. It may be taken
up as an Honours/major subject during graduation. Admission is usually on the
basis of marks secured in the 10+2 / equivalent examination.
