Public Relations (PR) is an important adjunct in the process of mass
communication. It promotes better understanding between an organization and
the public. All types of organizations, whether educational, social political
commercial or government need to practice PR is to act as the communication
link between the client and the public. The PR professional has to present the
client’s image in a manner that infuses credibility and confidence in the
public.
Course/Training
Public Relations professionals are usually graduates with a broad general
understanding of social, cultural, economic and political affairs. Following up
graduation with a 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising / Public Relations
or a 2 year Master’s degree in Mass Communication / Journalism / Public
Relations would be useful.
